Video update from Hettie on what’s going in the camp, plus URGENT APPEAL for tents, blankets and sleeping bags

Hettie, head of operations and logistics at the L’Auberge des Migrants / Help Refugees warehouse, brings you this update on what has been happening with our operations over the last few days.

Our team are currently working around the clock to try and ensure that those who will be affected by the reduction of the camp are provided for in the best way possible.

We are currently extrememly understocked in TENTS, sleeping bags and warm blankets, which will be desperately needed in the next week. We have 200 tents in stock in the warehouse and will need 600-700 tents for the move that is about to happen, as almost 2000 people are due to be evicted in the next few days. If you would like to help us with this please do so here: www.leisurefayre.com/ or if you have stock you can take to Calais please book in with our teams on calaisdonations@gmail.com

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you, for your continued support during this time. None of this would be possible without you.

We would not be able to do our work without your support and kindness. Many of the refugees we help are fleeing the conflict zones of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Others are trying to escape political oppression in countries like Eritrea. All are human beings like us. As well as providing immediate physical assistance, we want to help refugees maintain their dignity.
