Iokasti lives on the island of Samos. Everyday she feeds up to two thousand refugees in the port as they arrive on the island. As it starts to get warmer, more and more people are arriving in Samos. So far, since beginning of the refugee crisis Iokasti has fed an unbelievable 168,000 people.
We have a weekly commitment to help Iokasti continue feeding refugees in the port. Below you can see her serving lunch yesterday to 450 people.
We are so grateful that we are able to help you help. To support us in this vital work supporting heroes on the ground, please donate at https://mydonate.bt.com/charities/helprefugees
We would not be able to do our work without your support and kindness. Many of the refugees we help are fleeing the conflict zones of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Others are trying to escape political oppression in countries like Eritrea. All are human beings like us. As well as providing immediate physical assistance, we want to help refugees maintain their dignity.
