ROYAL ALBERT HALL – ELGAR ROOM – Musicians from around the world perform in aid of Help Refugees

Musicians Against Racism and Apathy are putting on an ‘Unpopular Music Showcase’ at the Elgar Room, Royal Albert Hall.

All proceeds will be donated towards Help Refugees projects which care for the most vulnerable refugees currently living in Greece.

Unpopular Music presents a multi-artist bill programmed and hosted by BBC Radio 3’s Nick Luscombe and co-hosted by actor and supporter of the charity Toby Jones in support of Help Refugees, with a line-up consisting of trailblazing artists Grasscut, La Qualia, Hejira, Roxanne Tataei and Belinda Zhawi. There will also be DJ sets from Nick Luscombe and Max Reinhardt. This special evening of music takes inspiration from the Unpopular Music LP, which gathers a selection of unique recordings from an ongoing series of exciting and eclectic collaborations, mostly recorded at BBC Maida Vale Studios. They represent part of an incredible body of work by a wide variety of alternative, outsider musicians from all over the world.
