Myanmar’s security forces have recently unleashed a campaign of violence against the Rohingya people after years of persecution. More than 150,000 Rohingya people have been forced to flee to Bangladesh from Myanmar in the past two weeks alone.
Hundreds have reportedly been killed by Myanmar security forces and villages have been burnt to the ground. A United Nations report
earlier this year described mass killings and gang rapes of the Rohingya people by security forces.
Sign Amnesty International‘s petition now to call for an end to the campaign of violence against the Rohingya people and for humanitarian aid agencies, the UN, independent journalists and human rights monitors to be granted free access to Rakhine state.
