Essential vehicles on their way to the Calais and Dunkirk teams for use in the camps

Last week Help Refugees committed to buying 13 vehicles for Calais and Dunkirk – 3 vans and 4x4s for distribution of essential aid in the camps and for transporting hot meals from the warehouse to the communities, and 10 caravans for families with young children to live in and help them keep warm at night.

We are delighted to say 3 of the vehicles have already made their way to the camp. We look forward to seeing the others arrive soon.

Huge thanks to Lea Beven from Caravans4Calais who has worked so hard to source, MOT, service and deliver the vehicles, which are already making a huge difference to life in the camp.

We would not be able to do our work without your support and kindness. Many of the refugees we help are fleeing the conflict zones of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Others are trying to escape political oppression in countries like Eritrea. All are human beings like us. As well as providing immediate physical assistance, we want to help refugees maintain their dignity.
