During the month of December, we are running our second Choose Love fundraising campaign – and we need your help!
We no longer see the harrowing images of refugees’ suffering each day, but the crisis is not over just because the media no longer focuses on it.
There are still families without food and a generation of kids risk growing up without an education. Just a few days ago, twenty-six teenage girls drowned as they attempted to cross the Mediterranean from Libya.
With big NGOs and governments failing to meet many of the most basic needs of refugees across Europe and the Middle East, the grassroots movement continues to fill the huge gaps left in services. We need your help more than ever to continue to do this: the weather is getting colder, and needs are only increasing.
Last year, you organised club nights, office parties, bake-offs, clothes swap-shops, karaoke evenings, fancy dress days, Christmas fairs and much more besides. Your fantastic events helped us to provide vital aid to refugees across Europe and the Middle East as they braced the harsh winter.
This year, we are asking you to get creative again. Harness the festive spirit with us, and encourage people to Choose Love in the run-up to Christmas! We are a movement, and we are only where we are today because you are with us.
Right now, what we need is the funds to support people through the freezing months ahead. We hope you can help – why not check out some examples of recent fundraisers here, such as Lara and Billie’s mini-festival or Helen’s comedy evening, featuring Jo Brand?
