The Mayor of Calais wants us to stop supporting refugee children living in Calais. Already they have no state protection, no roof over their heads, no education and no access to medical care. Tonight, our partners Utopia 56 continue to distribute the food prepared by Refugee Community Kitchen at our Calais warehouse with L’auberge des migrants international.

Our brilliant long-term volunteer Renke Pieter Meuwese is quoted “They are trying to make the refugees invisible, so they make it harder to distribute in town than the countryside. We can’t distribute at day so we have to do it at night. They are trying to push them out of sight.”
