Help Refugees isn’t just another NGO. Find out what are values are – and why each one defines what we do.
We do things differently.
We are Help Refugees. We strive to ensure that we do no harm to those whose lives we touch. We always want our impact to be positive and will always work towards making it this way. Our aim is that those we assist are able to say that their lives (and prospects) have been improved by permitting us to assist them, by bringing them dignity, hope, respect and humanity.
At the core of everything we do is our belief in treating every human being with the utmost dignity, humanity and respect.
Unconstrained by red tape and bureaucracy, we are fast and flexible. We act quickly to fill gaps left by big NGOs and governments.
We believe in local solutions to local problems. We will always prioritise working with local organisations and refugees themselves.
We will bear witness and speak out against injustice through our limited company. We believe in advocating for long-term change.
From funding smaller organisations to enabling refugees to take agency over their lives, empowerment is at the core of what we do.
We do not take money from governments. We are and will always remain an independent organisation, funded by everyday people.
